Largest ever contract for people business

Aberdeen headquartered oilfield personnel provider, Oilbase Management (OBM) has been awarded a contract for the provision of material and stores coordinators (MSC’s) for the Apache Forties field; Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta platforms, in the North Sea. The one year contract with options is the largest to be awarded to Oilbase Management in its 28 year history. In addition to sourcing the personnel, OBM will be responsible for training and competency. OBM has provided offshore and onshore drilling and supply chain personnel for Apache since 2003. Managing director of OBM, Tony Littler said; “We are absolutely delighted with the award of this contract from Apache; it is a very important development in the growth of OBM and clearly demonstrates our capabilities in the provision of supply chain personnel. Oilbase Management prides itself on the quality of the personnel we provide and the way we look after our people; the award of this contract has clearly proved this and takes another step in the development of the business.” Currently, OBM has a team of 20 personnel on Apache North Sea installations and this is anticipated to rise during 2007.
