Q:

I like the idea of contract work but am worried about the lack of security. What do you suggest?

A:

At OBM, we appreciate this concern. However, current employment law gives temporary workers almost the same protection as permanent staff. In addition, OBM offers various ways to alleviate this concern and we strive to find new positions to aid continuity of employment. We view our personnel as our assets and as such we take good care of them.

Q:

Do I have to pay for medicals?

A:

No, OBM meets the costs of the required medical checks.

Q:

Are there opportunities to work overseas?

A:

Yes, OBM has a global network of clients and is able to offer positions in a wide range of countries.

Q:

Are there opportunities for long-term work?

A:

Yes, many of our personnel have been offered long-term contracts. We go out of our way to match an individual’s requirements to those of our clients. Each contract is customised to suit all parties.

Q:

I have materials and logistics experience but not in the oil and gas sector. Can I still apply?

A:

Yes. OBM is always happy to speak to people with relevant experience as many of their skills are highly transferable.
