Our Client has been asked by a major Operator to provide Materials and Logistics Base Supervisors to be based in Iraq on a rotational basis.
The positions will involve the provision of drilling and project materials inventory control, materials supply and logistics coordination for in-country operations. It will also involve overall accountability for supervising and leading the Field Materials and Logistics Team.
The job will be based in a remote desert camp in southern Iraq where work is being undertaken in the redevelopment of existing oilfields and the development of new wells/ fields to deliver a rapid increase in production. Security will be provided by the Operator’s contracted security company who ensure that personnel are transported to/ from and work in a secure environment. The work will be on equal time rotation with crew changes likely on a monthly basis to country of origin. There are up to 6 positions available, all working on a back to back basis. The remuneration package will take into account location, hardship and security issues in this posting.
Applicants are asked to have extensive experience within a similar role which should be evident on your CV. Certification in technical/ HSE courses such as Dangerous Goods, Plant Utilisation, IOSH, Stores Management, Lifting Plans, Basic Drilling Technology etc is required as is supervision experience. Experience in similar locations would be highly desirable as would an understanding of the Arabic language however fluency in the English language is mandatory – spoken and written.
